Several months ago, I mentioned in the post Continuing AWS training, that I was preparing to take the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification exam.
That is one of the main reasons why I have barely been able to post anything, as it has taken me more time than expected to achieve it. Including the need to postpone the exam date once.
Resources Used
In case you are curious about the resources I used to prepare for the exam, I used a couple of Udemy courses that were very interesting to me:
- A course where all the concepts necessary for the exam are explained: https://www.udemy.com/course/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c03/
- A course which contains only practice exams: https://www.udemy.com/course/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-amazon-practice-exams-saa-c03/
Thanks to these resources, the truth is that the exam was easier for me to pass.
The truth is that initially I had very negative feelings regarding this exam, because out of 7 practice exams I took, I only passed one. Honestly, when reviewing the questions, I saw that some of them were a bit tricky. Thanks to practicing with those types of practice exams, my feelings regarding the real exam have been better.
What Now?
Once the certification is completed, the next question I ask myself is: What now?
The truth is that I am exploring what I would like to do next, and right now I have two alternatives on my radar (although new possibilities may open up):
- Take the Spring Professional 2023 certification, which differs a bit from the previous version because it is focused on Spring 6
- Take the AWS Solution Architect Professional certification, although in reality more practical experience in AWS is needed for this one
- TOGAF 9.2 professional architecture certification
The truth is that I feel quite happy to achieve this certification.
